I had a fantastic stay at a hotel in Rockhampton. The location was perfect, close to the CBD and a bus stop. The staff were professional and eager to please. The accommodation was nice and clean, although the carpet was a bit loose and could be a trip hazard. The on-site restaurant was convenient and well-priced. The air conditioning in the room was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The walls are paper thin and there were about 60 drunk people partying till all hours of the night. I had a drunk man trying to get into my room and banging on my door for almost an hour, I reported this to the hotel staff and they didn't seem overly concerned or emphatic. I would never stay here again, horrible experience!

I stayed at this hotel several years ago and it was out dated and in need of refurbishment and repairs. Fortunately, it has been nicely refurbished and is far more pleasant & comfortable now !
Very noisy - we stayed on a Saturday night and there was constant noise from drunken guests returning from 12am to 5am !! Even though the hotel has been recently refurbished, it isnt being kept clean & looked after, hallways are dirty and plates of uneaten food (from room service) had been left outside rooms for 24 hrs before removed.

I just had a great stay at this hotel! The staff was so friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location was ideal for me, as it was close to everything I needed to go to in this city, such as the shopping centre, city center, and even the night life. The cleanliness was top-notch, and I appreciated the hotel facilities. The breakfast was well prepared and presented.
Couldn't stay longer.

Room was quite.
Was quite pricey for the accommodation. The accommodation was as central as the description indicated.

The friendly smiles and flexibility when we asked for a later checkout time after late arrival.

The hotel has a very convenient location with easy access to everything in the town center. It is also close to a shopping center and the police station. The friendly and welcoming staff provide a good service. The restaurant offers good food at reasonable prices and there is a nice area to walk near the river. Some of the rooms are comfortable and spacious, with good quality linen and pillows, while some are less smelly.
The hotel's facilities need a major overhaul, with old and smelly carpets, dated furniture, and hardwired alarm clocks that can't be turned off.

Nice and quiet. Good value and has everything we required.
Stating that there was a mini bar in the room and room service for meals. But apart from that everything was good.

We had an amazing experience at this luxurious hotel. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly and helpful receptionist who provided us with all the necessary information. The room we stayed in was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a comfortable bed and a tidy bathroom. The shower was amazing, and we felt refreshed after using it. In the morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, with a great variety of options to choose from. The staff at the breakfast area were all smiles and very helpful. We also encountered a polite and cheerful cleaner during our stay. the staff here were exceptional and made our stay memorable. We will definitely book this hotel again for our next getaway.
Families may find it a bit difficult to accommodate here. However, we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.

The decor of the rooms was lovely.
The cleaners left our room unlocked on one occassion. They also half cleaned the room.

None of the above really apply. We went for a reunion in Rockhampton. The location of the hotel was very central and convenient. The hotel staff were helpful and efficient mostly. Particularly the young man who was on duty the night of Friday 10 June, when I discovered cockroachers in the coffee/tea/sugar container. I transferred the container (when I saw things moving in it and threw it in the hand basin in the bathroom where I discovered a whole family of cockroaches. The young man then told me he would find another room for us as he sprayed the cockroaches and I was unhappy at being in a room with the spray. Our new room was not as nice as our first and the bathroom light was not working properly. Staff did try but were unable to change the recessed light bulb. The young man from reception was dismayed to find that the bathroom mirror was covered with toothpaste and came back with cleaner to clean the mirror. He apologised and said he would put in a report both about the cockroaches and the dirty mirror.
The hotel was very nicely refurbished and the decor was pleasing. When we requested flatter pillows (the ones in our room were new and a bit high for us) our pillows were immediately replaced. Thank you for that. Our stay was pleasant and we enjoyed our time in Rockhampton. It was a bit of a shame that our rooms were not as clean as we would have expected and that was a disappointment. We would probably recommend this hotel as it is very central and it is easy to walk and get around. I'd love to see some maps of Rockhampton available for hotel guests. We could have walked to several of the functions we attended if we had maps and knew where to go, instead of having to rely on taxis.

Best aspects of my Easter stay: The bed was comfortable and the housekeeping staff were friendly. The location was convenient, with a short walk to the river area. , there were markets held nearby which was a great experience.
Worst aspects of my Easter stay: The room smelled of mold and the aircon didn't go below 22 degrees.

There was a misunderstanding by myself with the number of beds in the room. I just looked on the image displayed on the Internet and it showed two beds. However the duty staff were able to recitfy my error. Nice clean and quiet room. My daughter and I had tea at the motel. It was excellent.
The only issue is the parking of hotel guests. The parking at this establishment is shared with another business (liquor outlet) and parking spaces are at a premium

The fact the $150 was added to my credit card on top of the price of the room and then was held for nearly a week and we were not able to access this money while we were on holiday.
